Stacey is a…

Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist (PMH-C), Psychotherapist, EMDR Trained Therapist, and Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist in Longmont, CO

I received my Master's in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. Transpersonal Counseling Psychology focuses on a holistic view of health and wellness, techniques of mindfulness and awareness, and honors the unique path and journey of each individual.

I'm a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist (PMH-C) trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Advanced Perinatal Mental Health, and Advanced Practice of EMDR Therapy for Perinatal & Infant Mental Health. I strive to be an advocate to increase awareness of perinatal mental health, and perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms. With this comes the importance of seeking professional and social support. I'm dedicated to supporting birthing people and families navigate and heal from symptoms and experiences resulting from preconception, fertility and infertility journey, pregnancy, through the years after giving birth and beyond.

I am a Certified Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist (TIYT) through Sundara Yoga Therapy. Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy uses movement, breath, neurophysiology, and Eastern teachings to support the re-wiring of neural pathways in the brain to help resolve traumatic memories and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our "rest and digest" system. I've completed EMDR Training Level 1 through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a therapy used to resolve traumatic memories by changing the way a memory is stored in the brain. We are whole and adaptive beings, and EMDR helps support the natural healing process.

When I'm not wearing my therapist hat, I enjoy spending time with my husband Jon, being a mama to our son Huxley and daughter Clover; listening to live music; cooking; visiting parks and open spaces; sunshine and moving my body; connecting with family and friends; traveling; and enjoying the outdoors.

Leanne is a... Trained Perinatal Mental Health Therapist, Holistic Art Therapist, Trauma-Informed Specialist and Psychospiritual Therapist in Colorado.

My story of becoming an Art Therapist begins as a young girl, where creating art was the only way I knew how to move through complex emotions. Art-making remained my lifeline as I navigated traumatic events and difficult life transitions throughout my adolescence and adulthood--one of them being the process of becoming a mother, matrescence.

Matrescence can feel like we are moving away from who we once were into a brand new version of ourselves. That rite of passage can feel dark and lonely at times, especially because the challenges of motherhood are generally not discussed. In our modern culture, many of us have less access to a village of support combined with high expectations to "do it all" as mothers, which can be a recipe for developing a mental health disorder. I care deeply about supporting expecting and new mothers so that they do not have to feel alone in their experiences. Together with my clients, we meet the emerging Mother part with curiosity, allow space for the intensity of motherhood, and learn tools to feel present and regulated throughout this profound journey.

In addition to specializing in maternal mental health, I also support survivors of childhood trauma. It is not uncommon for old attachment/relationship wounds and trauma patterns to rise to the surface in motherhood. When these experiences come up, I work with my clients to learn how to re-parent themselves with awareness techniques, self-compassion and tending to their inner child.

It is my belief that mothering is soul work; it requires deep listening, unearthing, and transforming. Many of these processes are difficult to integrate using words alone. I combine art therapy techniques with mindfulness and spirituality, which can include the use of breathwork, intuition, energy awareness and somatic (body-based) experiencing. During a typical art therapy session, one can expect a blend of deep discussion, mindfulness activities and art-making.

I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Concentration in Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). I hold a certificate in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders from Postpartum Support International (PSI). In my personal life, I enjoy going to see live music with my husband, being Mama to my two daughters, making jewelry and multi-media art, strength training, dancing to 90s hip-hop in my kitchen and hiking in the beautiful Colorado mountains.
