Birth Center Hospitality
Position Title: Colorado Birth and Wellness Hospitality
Position Location: Colorado Birth and Wellness (CBW)
Summary: The primary function of this employee is to support birth center operations via birth assisting, cleaning the birth space and ensuring an excellent client experience. This person would provide care to families in the immediate postpartum period as well as clean and stock the birth center after births. We are seeking a person that loves to nourish families through acts of service as they spend time in the care of CBW for an average stay of 4-8 hours post birth.
Essential Duties and Scope of Responsibilities:
● On-call availability 2-4 days a week, occasional evenings and weekdays for 24 hour shifts-available within an hour to support at CB&W Lowry location.
● Provide physical, educational and emotional support to birth center families staying at the birth center.
○ Assist with postpartum bonding and care for newborn.
○ Support lactation journey
○ Work with medical providers to provide food, run postpartum bath, and help to transition new family to their own home.
● Attend monthly CBW staff meetings
● Attend Emergency Drills
● Assist midwife and nurse and participate in cleaning/housekeeping duties at the birth center postpartum, as needed or appropriate:
○ Washing/sanitizing laundry
○ Cleaning birth rooms to prepare for the next family
○ Tidying areas during and after birth to keep a clutter free environment to birth in.
○ Restock birth rooms with essentials for birth
○ Assist in meal making/ordering for family
○ Cleaning kitchen
Special Skills/Licenses/Training/Certifications Necessary:
● Ability to perform lifting and bending movements without hindrance.
● Ability to work long hours, supporting families.
● Comfortable cooking from recipes for after birth foods
● Ability to assist in deep cleaning.
● Doula training or experience.

● Thirst to learn more and grow as a birth professional
● Sensitive to cultural differences and able to support families of all types in a judgment free space
Compensation:
● Part-time, hourly pay dependent on experience (range $20-$30 hourly)
● Additional per-diem earnings based on support provided ($50 activation fee)
● Future opportunities possible based on program growth and individual motivation
